Apple Basil Smash
In the mid-2000s, Germany made a mark on the cocktail map with simple yet deliciously considered drinks, such as the Gin Basil Smash from Jörg Meyer. Try our complex and delicious twist on this modern cocktail with our Apple Eau De Vie.
2 ounce Chemist Apple Eau De Vie
.75 ounce fresh lemon juice
.75 ounce simple syrup (1:1)
2-3 sprigs fresh basil
Garnish: basil leaf
Muddle the basil in a shaker and add the other ingredients.
Add ice and shake to chill.
Fine-strain into an ice-filled glass and garnish with Basil.
